Experience the first snow of the season! Our pre-season dogsled tour near Ilulissat offers an authentic glimpse into one of Greenland’s proudest traditions — guided by one of the country’s most accomplished mushers. We start from our dog yard in town, where you’ll meet the eager sled dogs and help prepare the sled and team for the journey. Once ready, you’ll set off across the open plains with Jørgen, co-owner of Dogsled and Ice Academy and five-time Greenlandic dogsledding champion, leading the way. The route takes you out towards the Akinnaq mountain, where we stop for a cozy break with coffee or hot cocoa, time for photos, and of course, plenty of dog cuddles. After the pause, we cruise back toward Ilulissat, enjoying the peaceful rhythm of the sled gliding over early-season snow. Jørgen grew up on the dogsled — from delivering post between settlements as a boy, to transporting tons of fish, and even driving both the Prime Ministers of Denmark and Greenland. Fishing Tour

A cozy fishing trip in the calm waters around Ilulissat – either in the fjords or out in the bay.\ We’ll fish the traditional Greenlandic way, using hand lines and local knowledge passed down through generations. Whether you're a total beginner or an experienced angler, this is a relaxed and down-to-earth experience where the focus is on nature, good company, and (hopefully) a fresh catch for dinner!\ \ We provide all gear, warm clothing, and good stories.

Hiking with sleddogs

Discover the beauty of Ilulissat's nature on foot, guided by locals who know the land.\ \ You set the pace as we walk through untouched landscapes, surrounded by silence, fresh air, and breathtaking views. Our friendly sled dogs joins the hike (1-2 dogs) – adding both company and a touch of Greenlandic tradition to the experience. Ice-Fishing!

We’ll take you by snowmobile out to the frozen fjords. Here, you can try your hand at catching cod, halibut, or snow crabs. Along the way, we’ll share local tips on fishing techniques, set up your gear, and make sure you’re warm and comfortable. After a successful day on the ice, we’ll return to Ilulissat by snowmobile, perhaps with a delicious catch?\ \ All gear, safety instructions, and local knowledge are provided – you just need to bring your sense of adventure.

Iceberg Cruise

Icefjord Sailing – Explore the UNESCO Ice Giants with Us. Come sail with us among the towering icebergs of the Ilulissat Icefjord – a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Greenland’s most breathtaking natural wonders. We use small open boats that allow us to get much closer to the ice than the big steel tour boats can. We welcome guests, not "tourists" – and we believe in slow, personal adventures over mass tourism. There may be cheaper options out there, but with us, you sail in a small group, with time to feel, photograph, and connect with the magic of the ice. Sleep in our cabin by the Bay

Wake up to silence and stunning views from our cabin by the bay! Off the grid, surrounded by raw nature, and deeply peaceful – this is Arctic simplicity at its finest.\ We’ll sail you out to the cabin in just 15–20 minutes, with a chance to spot whales and icebergs along the way. Once there, you’ll have the place entirely to yourselves – perfect for relaxing, unwinding, and connecting with nature. The cabin fits up to 7 people and includes everything you need for a comfortable stay. Price includes transfer and overnight stay for 7 pax. All year.

Unplug and unwind in our remote wilderness cabin in the Mountains, nestled high above Ilulissat in rugged greenlandic terrain. Whale-Safari

Go on an unforgettable whale watching in Ilulissat, where you will have a completely unique experience! We sail in our authentic open boat with space for up to seven people, allowing you to get closer to nature and experience the whales in their element — completely free of disturbances and the noisy steel boats. On our tours we sail out into the majestic disco bay at Ilulissat, where we often spot impressive humpback whales, and with a little luck also the rarer fin whales. We sail with respect for wildlife and are happy to stop the engine so that the whales can get closer to us — entirely on their own terms. Our small boat offers you a more intimate and quiet experience where you can really feel the forces of nature and enjoy the tranquility of the sea. This trip is ideal for those who want to get close to the whales while showing respect for the animals and their natural behavior. Paddleboard by boat to icebergs/Whales!

Join us for an unforgettable paddle experience! We’ll take the boat out from Ilulissat to find beautiful icebergs – or maybe even some humpback whales – and paddle in the beautiful bay! Along the way, we’ll enjoy a break with warm drinks and snacks surrounded by nature. We provide all gear, safety instructions, and local knowledge – you just need to bring your sense of adventure! June - September. \ \ We are trained in being around humpbacks and icebergs, and we respect the whales every step of the way. Normally, we find an area with whales and go on the paddleboards from the boat and just witness them from a distance - sometimes they get close to us out of curiosity.

Come meet our loyal sled dogs – more than just working animals, they’re part of the family!\ \ During this visit, you’ll get up close with the dogs, pet them, help feed them, and hear stories about their lives, training, and adventures here in Greenland. Dogsledding in the mountains!

Dogsled Adventure in the Mountains — Ilulissat. Experience the wild beauty of Greenland on this unique combination of snowmobile and dogsled! 🚩 Meeting Point – Ilulissat\ We start at our meeting point in Ilulissat. Gear up with helmets and safety belts on our snowmobiles. 🏔️ Snowmobile Ride (17 km / \~30 min)\ Drive through rugged mountains and untouched Greenlandic nature until we arrive at our cozy red cabin in the middle of nowhere, home to our 31 dogs doing the winter. \ 🐕 Dogsled Ride (11–12 km / \~1 hour)\ Swap the snowmobile for the dogsled. Meet Jørgen, co-owner and 5-time Greenlandic Dogsled Champion, and glide across mountains, frozen lakes, and scenic trails. Our experience tells us that 1hour is more than enough for tourists - longer tours on the sled can be uncomfortable. 📸 Stop at our fav. Viewpoint\ We stop at our favorite viewpoint over the Icefjord, glaciers, and the Greenland Ice Sheet. Take photos, cuddle the dogs, and hear thrilling Greenlandic stories. 🛷 Sled Capacity\ We have two sleds and two dog teams, carrying up to 8 participants at a time. For larger groups or alternative times, just contact us directly—we’re flexible and work with multiple experienced mushers. ☕ Hot Drinks & Snacks at the Cabin\ After some time at the viewpoint, we return to our cabin to warm up with drinks and snacks before heading back on the snowmobile to Ilulissat. 🏔️ Snowmobile Back to Ilulissat (17 km / \~30 min)\ Enjoy the scenic ride back through the mountains to town. 📍 Season: January – April.\ ⏱ Duration: 3–4 hours (depending on snow and weather).\ 📌 Meeting point: The New Football Field at Qoororsuup Aqq Street (arrive 15 minutes early).
