Whale Watching Adventure — Ilulissat
Experience an unforgettable whale watching adventure in Ilulissat, getting closer than ever to these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.
🚩 Meeting Point – Our Garage, Ilulissat
We start at our garage, where all equipment is stored. Here you’ll meet your local guide, receive a safety briefing, and get fitted with warm gear for the tour.
🚌 Transfer to the Harbor
From the garage, we take a short bus ride to the harbor, where our authentic open boat awaits. With space for up to seven people, our boat allows an intimate, quiet experience away from noisy steel boats.
🚤 Sailing into Disco Bay
We sail into the majestic Disco Bay, keeping a safe and respectful distance from the wildlife. Here, we often encounter humpback whales, and occasionally even the rarer fin whales. Our guides may stop the engine to let the whales approach on their own terms, ensuring a natural and undisturbed experience.
🐋 Intimate & Authentic Whale Encounter
Our small boat allows you to fully feel the power and beauty of Greenland’s nature. This tour is perfect for anyone seeking a close, personal encounter with whales while respecting their natural behavior.
🧭 Expert Guidance & Whale Knowledge
Tours are led by local guides with deep knowledge of the Arctic ecosystem and whales. Morgan Angaju, co-owner of Whales of Greenland, brings specialized training and experience from the Kingdom of Tonga, where he studied and swam with humpback whales — skills he now applies to Arctic waters with utmost care for the animals.

During the tour, enjoy warm drinks and snacks while surrounded by icebergs, whales, and the incredible Arctic scenery.
