Icefjord Sailing – Explore the UNESCO Ice Giants with Us.
Come sail with us among the towering icebergs of the Ilulissat Icefjord – a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Greenland’s most breathtaking natural wonders. We use small open boats that allow us to get much closer to the ice than the big steel tour boats can.
Your skipper and guide, Jørgen, is born and raised in Greenland and knows every corner of the fjord. He’ll share stories, local knowledge, and make sure you have a safe and unforgettable experience on the water.
We welcome guests, not tourists – and we believe in slow, personal adventures over mass tourism. There may be cheaper options out there, but with us, you sail in a small group, with time to feel, photograph, and connect with the magic of the ice.

Practical information
- The tour lasts about 2-2,5hours, depending on the location of the ice fjord and the icebergs.
- Be prepared for changing weather conditions, so remember to bring warm clothes and possibly rainwear.
- Remember camera to get pictures of the spectacular icebergs and landscapes.
- The trip does not require prior experience, but we recommend having a little adventurousness and curiosity.

Jørgen was crowned Greenlandic Champion in 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013, and has claimed the Ilulissat Championship title an impressive nine times – a prestigious title that he conquered in the challenging terrain surrounding Ilulissat. His ability to navigate the harsh, icy landscapes and the close bond he shares with his dogs have made him one of the most respected figures in the field.
