Seal-hunt in the icefiord

Join us on an authentic seal hunting trip in the Icefjord and Bay, where we head out to catch our dinner. This is a unique opportunity to experience a traditional Greenlandic hunting adventure, where we hunt for seals in the Arctic waters and use every part of the animal – both for food and for the skin, which can be used for clothing, for example.
During the hunt, our experienced guide and skipper will take you into the fjord, where we’ll search for seals in the magnificent nature. You’ll gain insight into the hunting techniques used and learn how seals are an important part of Greenlandic life and culture. After the hunt, we will prepare the seal and cook a traditional meal, giving you the chance to taste the delicious meat and fish dishes.
This is an experience that not only offers insight into hunting traditions but also into Greenlandic culture and self-sufficiency, where nothing goes to waste. It’s a trip for the adventurous who want to get closer to Greenland’s natural lifestyle.
Practical information
The trip lasts about 3-4 hours, and depending on the outcome of the hunt.
Warm clothing is essential, as we will be on open water, and the weather can change quickly.
All necessary hunting and safety equipment will be provided.
